Home Manager

Meet Shannon Rimmer – Manager of Kevlin House

Shannon's journey to becoming the manager of Kevlin House is a testament to her diverse experiences and unwavering passion for care. Starting her career in retail, Shannon's curiosity and dedication led her to volunteer as a Special Constable for Norfolk Constabulary. However, it was during her time as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) on the acute medical unit at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital that she discovered her calling for helping others.

Her passion for dementia care began at Belvoir House, where she realised the importance of providing meaningful, compassionate support to those living with dementia. Now, as the manager of Kevlin House, Shannon is committed to making a real difference by implementing innovative ideas and ensuring that residents receive the exceptional care they deserve.

For Shannon, care is more than just a profession—it’s a way of life. Working in dementia care has deepened her understanding of the power of kindness, family, and positive interaction. She believes in giving residents purpose, independence, and moments of joy, whether that’s through a shared laugh or simply being a comforting presence. "Seeing a smile on someone’s face or making them laugh is the best feeling in the world," she says.
