Tamar house is situated in the beautiful seaside town of Cromer on the Norfolk Coast. It is less than ten minutes’ walk to Cromer’s town centre, railway station and beach. The home is proud to offer a warm and welcoming environment for both residents and visitors, with a unique 'family-feel'. Tamar House offers tailored, person-centred care to residents who require additional support, especially with those needing dementia care. All of our care is focused on each individual's personal wishes, while staff respect how residents choose to spend their time at the home.

Meet Katie – Manager of Tamar House
Katie brings nearly 17 years of expertise in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to her role as Manager of Tamar House. Having been a vital part of Tamar House for the past three years, Katie has gained invaluable experience working closely with residents and leading a dedicated team. Her leadership has focused on implementing high standards of care, overseeing complex care plans, and fostering a supportive environment where residents and staff alike can thrive.
With a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care – Leadership and Management, and a Master’s degree in Social Prevention and Social Rehabilitation, Katie has the knowledge and skills to guide her team confidently. Her academic and professional background empowers her to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop tailored care plans, and ensure compliance with the highest care standards.
For Katie, care is about more than meeting needs—it’s about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every resident feels valued, respected, and supported every day. Her passion for providing empathetic, compassionate care is reflected in her ability to connect with residents, understand their unique needs, and improve their quality of life.
